Women face severe penalties after robberies

Being accused of robbery in Pennsylvania can lead to a litany of charges that will negatively impact a person's life. When accusations of robbery are made, people automatically picture a person holding a gun or knife. However, there are many circumstances where robbery charges can be filed. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding the allegations, it is critical to contact a criminal defense attorney.

Two women were arrested and accused of using a syringe to rob several stores. According to the investigation, one woman had a syringe filled with an unknown substance. While holding the syringe, she told the person working the register at a tobacco store to give her money. The second woman was in a vehicle waiting for her.

They are also accused of robbing a Dollar General store. They went to a second Dollar General where they were recognized and arrested. One woman was charged with several robbery charges, assault, theft, conspiracy to commit theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and other charges. The other woman is facing many of the same charges.

People dealing with charges related to robbery must be cognizant of the potential penalties that can accompany a conviction. Even if the person did not use a gun in the act, there can still be major consequences for robbery. Fortunately, there are many avenues to craft a defense. No matter the circumstances, those dealing with state charges related to robbery must formulate a viable defense. An experienced defense attorney can help answer any questions you may have.
