Two teens from Allentown, Pennsylvania, are in serious legal trouble as a result of a lengthy criminal investigation. Both 19 years of age, the young men are facing multiple felony charges in relation to robberies at local businesses. A grand jury recently indicted both on charges of robbery and using a firearm during a crime. Should these charges result in convictions, the course of these teens’ lives will make a serious detour.
Authorities allege that one of the teens is connected to at least three robberies, all of businesses within the Allentown area. The second teen is charged in one of those incidents, in which a gas station attendant was robbed at gunpoint. That crime led to the loss of approximately $100.
As of the time of this report, there are no details on how police linked the young men to these incidents. Because one of the teens is charged in three different robberies, it is possible that he has been asked to work with authorities to identify others who were involved in those crimes. In such cases, it is not unheard of for a suspect to give police false information in order to try and gain an advantage in his or her own case.
It is too soon to know if that is the case in this set of events playing out in Pennsylvania. However, the attorneys for both teens will make a thorough review of all evidence held by the prosecution before determining a course of action. From that point forward, every effort will be made to reach an outcome in these multiple federal charges that allows these young men to move forward in their lives without the spectre of a criminal record hanging over them.
