STEPHEN MISKO: My name is Attorney Stephen Misko. I've represented clients since 1990 who have been charged by the state and federal authorities with unlawfully possessing a gun.
In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania you can have a gun in your home or in your business. However, without a valid permit, you cannot carry a gun on the streets or have a gun in your car. There are also certain offenses that make you federally prohibited from carrying a firearm that would not otherwise make you prohibited under state law.
As a former federal agent I understand the laws as it relates to the United States which prohibits someone from carrying a firearm of possessing a firearm and the punishment that goes along with that.

STEPHEN MISKO: As a former federal agent and state prosecutor I understand what the elements are when you are charged with a state offense, whether it's violating the Uniform Firearms Act, having a gun in your car, or possessing a gun as a convicted felon.
It's very important to understand your rights if you are being charged either in federal court or state court with unlawfully possessing a firearm. So I urge you today to call my office for a free consultation.
